〜Why did you decide to work abroad?〜

Ever since I was a child, I had a yearning for something grand. However, since I lived a life with no connection to foreign countries, my childhood interests were space and Ultraman. I spent my elementary, junior high, and high school years at a regular school in Japan, and as I learned about various things and gradually became aware of the difficulties of going to space and becoming Ultraman, my interest in the grandeur of space gradually turned overseas. After entering university, I went on several trips abroad, but since my life was centered on club activities (handball) until my junior year, I decided to go abroad for the first time for a long period of time during spring break of my senior year. However, I only went to Cebu Island for two months for language study, but even so, that period was definitely the most fulfilling of my life.

Looking back now, there are two factors that contributed to that. The first is the difference in environment. What I did while studying abroad was not much different from my life in Japan, such as studying English, doing muscle training, going out for drinks, and occasionally traveling, but I was able to feel good and keep working hard just because of the different land and environment. Second, I was influenced by the people around me. I had a Taiwanese and a Korean roommate, and compared to me who was studying abroad because it looked like fun, they had a firm plan for the future of their study abroad experience. Witnessing them going on to graduate school in the UK, going to Canada for a work holiday, or becoming a therapist in Dubai was a moment that definitely updated my sense of values. That experience strengthened my desire to spend time abroad and pursue a unique career.

〜Why Asilla?〜

I want to work abroad! But I didn't want to work for a local company and do a job that anyone could do with no skills. But I also didn't want to work for a large Japanese company and wait for a chance to go abroad, which would take five years at the earliest. I was inspired by a job offer from Ajira, which said, "Why don't we aim to be the best in the world together? I was also inspired by Asilla's job offer, "Let's aim to be the best in the world together," and I agreed with Ichijo's idea that "I thought it was boring to work for a big Japanese company. However, I did not have much overseas experience, nor any knowledge or experience in AI. I changed my research theme to data analysis using AI after consulting with my professor at the graduate school at the time, and immersed myself in that research.

〜How do you feel about joining the company?〜

It's obvious, but I'm having a hard time in some areas: internal conversations are basically in English, I can't keep up with engineers if I've only dabbled in AI in my research, it's hard just to get used to life, I can't go anywhere by Corona, etc. But I'm still trying hard not to be embarrassed by my bold decision in the past. I am trying my best not to be ashamed of my past bold decision.

〜Where do you think Asilla's strengths lie?〜

From my point of view as the second Japanese to join Asilla Vietnam, the strong point of Asilla is the high level of our engineers. Our engineers are from FPT, which is said to be the Google of Vietnam, and from top universities in Vietnam. By themselves, they are just elite engineers, but that is not all. Most of them have studied and worked in various countries such as the U.S., U.K., Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Japan. Vietnam is known as an offshore development base in the IT industry, but Asilla employs not cheap labor but highly skilled engineers. We hire engineers with high technical skills, not cheap labor, and we believe that they are the members who are going to take the best in the world.

〜Any last words?〜

We, Asilla, are seriously aiming to become the world's No.1 in behavior recognition AI. If you want to grow together with high level engineers in a global environment, let's aim to be the best in the world together!
