Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla"), which operates under the vision of "Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology," will exhibit at LEAP 2026 (August 31 – September 3, 2026), a technology event hosted by the Government of Saudi Arabia and held in Riyadh. Asilla will also take part in "Japan's Blueprint for Saudi Arabia's Future," a panel discussion co-hosted by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications during the event.

Background

Under its national strategy "Vision 2030," Saudi Arabia is advancing economic diversification and digital transformation, with AI positioned as a core foundational technology. While adoption is expanding across finance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare and many other fields, embedding technology into society also calls for practical knowledge of how systems are actually operated on site and how they deliver results.

Asilla's product business, centered on the AI security system "AI Security asilla" launched in 2022, has been deployed across a wide range of environments including commercial facilities, public transportation and office buildings, reaching approximately 250 sites in Japan. Shortages of security personnel and the need for more efficient facility operations are challenges shared worldwide. In Saudi Arabia, where large-scale facility development and infrastructure projects are underway, Asilla believes its solution — which works with cameras already installed — can deliver meaningful value.

The panel discussion was organized as a forum where leading Japanese companies and startups share their respective strengths and explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. Asilla will join the discussion as one of the companies that has brought behavior recognition AI into real-world use.

About LEAP 2026

LEAP is a technology event held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It began in 2022 and this year marks its fifth edition. Backed by digital policy under the national strategy "Vision 2030," the event has grown with each edition, drawing more than 200,000 visitors last year. Sessions across 20 themes — including AI, cloud, cybersecurity, smart cities, mobility and health tech — are held over four days, and DeepFest, an event dedicated to AI, takes place at the same venue during the same period. Government officials, major technology companies, startups and investors gather from around the world, making it a venue where business partnerships and investment opportunities take shape.

Exhibition Details

At booth H1A.P357, Asilla will showcase "AI Security asilla" and demonstrate how behavior recognition AI identifies abnormal behavior and behavior requiring attention from video footage. Asilla will also introduce its ongoing technology development initiatives, including VLM (Vision Language Model), which combines video and language to interpret situations.

Through conversations with a broad range of visitors — including government officials, local businesses and investors — Asilla aims to better understand needs in the Middle East and build connections with potential partners.

Panel Discussion Details

Session title: Japan's Blueprint for Saudi Arabia's Future
Organizers: LEAP Secretariat and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Government of Japan
Date and time: Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 14:40–15:30 (local time)
Speaker: Nakao, Head of Global Business Development, Asilla, Inc.
Location: World Tech Stage – Hall 3 (special stage within the LEAP venue)

In this session, Asilla will present its behavior recognition AI technology along with the realities of implementing it across Japan. The point that implementation depends not only on technical accuracy but on how well a system takes root in the field is a theme shared with Saudi Arabia, despite differences in culture and institutions. By sharing knowledge gained through deployments in Japan, Asilla will contribute to the discussion on AI adoption locally.

Through this exhibition and panel appearance, Asilla will share the implementation knowledge cultivated in Japan with stakeholders in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, and work to create opportunities for collaboration with local partners.

About "AI Security asilla"

AI Security asilla is a system in which AI analyzes footage from existing security cameras 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behavior such as violence, falls and intrusion, as well as behavior requiring attention such as wandering, crowding and signs of poor physical condition. As shortages of security personnel grow more serious, it captures irregularities that are easy to miss through human monitoring alone and immediately notifies security staff and facility managers. Because it works with cameras already in place, no additional equipment investment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that helps maintain a high level of safety even with limited staffing.
