Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida City, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla"), which champions the vision of "Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology," announces that it will begin a proof-of-concept (PoC) of its AI security system "AI Security asilla" from June 2026 at the Tokyo Building, operated by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO: Atsushi Nakajima; hereinafter "Mitsubishi Estate").

Background of the Initiative

Under the "Mitsubishi Estate Digital Vision" formulated in 2021, Mitsubishi Estate is working to solve social challenges through digital transformation (DX). As part of putting this into practice, the company has been promoting the development of a "next-generation facility-operation model" that advances the use of robots and the sophistication of camera systems in fields such as security, cleaning, and transport.

As one element of these efforts, since the AI security system "AI Security asilla" began operation at the Shin-Marunouchi Building in October 2022, its deployment has expanded to the Marunouchi Building and the Marunouchi Park Building, and it is now in operation at the major properties of the Marunouchi area.

Building on this track record, the two companies have now arranged to begin a new proof-of-concept at the Tokyo Building. At this property, where a diverse range of users gathers, Asilla will advance verification toward improving the safety of visitors and office workers and realizing more sophisticated security operations, while making use of the operational insights accumulated to date in the Marunouchi area.

Overview of the Proof-of-Concept

This initiative involves conducting a proof-of-concept of the AI security system "AI Security asilla" at the Tokyo Building operated by Mitsubishi Estate. With the aim of advancing security operations, the company will verify the realization of a safe and secure facility environment through AI video analytics that leverages existing security camera footage — covering in-building monitoring, grasping crowding conditions, and watching over visitors.

Details of This Initiative

1.Advancing spatial monitoring through AI technology

With "AI Security asilla," AI analyzes the building's security camera footage in real time. By detecting nuisance behaviors such as fights and acts of violence, as well as intrusion into the premises after closing hours or into restricted areas, and immediately notifying security staff, the company builds a monitoring framework that improves safety within the facility.

2.Creating a safe environment through visualization of crowding conditions

The system grasps crowding conditions within the facility in real time and promotes appropriate crowd-guidance responses. It maintains an environment in which visitors can spend their time with peace of mind, and is also used to optimize the deployment of security personnel.

3.Improving visitor reassurance through a watch-over function

AI detects signs of poor physical condition, such as falls and unsteadiness, supporting early response for those who need assistance. The company aims to create a facility environment in which a wide range of visitors — including families and seniors — can spend their time with peace of mind.

Through this proof-of-concept, Asilla aims to advance security operations through the use of AI video analytics and to improve the safety of visitors and office workers. Based on the verification results, the company will advance consideration toward expanding operation across the entire Marunouchi area.

About the Tokyo Building

The Tokyo Building is a mixed-use office building with 33 floors above ground and 4 floors below, adjacent to the Marunouchi exit of Tokyo Station. Its lower floors house the commercial zone "Tokyo Bldg. TOKIA," and it is one of the representative properties of the Marunouchi area, where a diverse range of users — from office workers to passersby — come and go.

About "AI Security asilla"

"AI Security asilla" is a system in which AI analyzes footage from existing security cameras 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behaviors such as violence, falls, and intrusion, as well as behaviors requiring attention such as wandering, crowding, and signs of poor physical condition.

Amid an increasingly serious shortage of security personnel, it captures anomalies that are easily overlooked by human monitoring and immediately notifies security staff and administrators. Because existing cameras can be used as-is, no capital investment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that maintains a high level of safety even with limited staff.
