We have successfully tracked the same person across several different cameras. The number in parentheses (black background) near the person in the above video is the person ID. You can see that even when switching from the left camera image to the right camera image, the same person is assigned the same person ID and the individual can be identified.
The project is currently underway with plans to present an SDK (Software Development Kit) at an event from March 3 (Wed.) to 5 (Fri.), 2021, that will provide a function to identify individuals regardless of their clothing, hair style, day or night.
We are currently in the process of applying for a patent for the identification algorithm related to this project, and we plan to use this basic technology and collaborate with various companies to deploy it around the world.
