Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla"), which operates under the vision "Toward a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology," is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a participating company for the "Europe Long-term Program (France)," a long-term dispatch program based in Paris, France, within "J-StarX," the overseas entrepreneur program hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

Through its participation in this program, Asilla will leverage various forms of support — including a long-term stay at "Station F," the world's largest incubation facility — to expand sales channels in the European market with France as the starting point, and to build local partnerships.

Background and Aims of the Selection

Asilla has deployed "AI Security asilla," an AI-powered security system built around behavior-recognition AI, at a wide variety of sites including commercial facilities, public transportation, office buildings, and municipal facilities, with more than 200 deployments across Japan. Through this operational experience, the company has come to recognize that social challenges such as the shortage of security personnel and the need to advance facility operations are not limited to Japan but are common themes worldwide.

In Europe in particular, interest in ensuring public-space safety and in DX initiatives that leverage existing infrastructure is growing, and Asilla's solutions — which can make use of existing security cameras — are highly compatible with the local market. As a gateway, Asilla is positioning Paris, France — home to one of Europe's largest startup ecosystems and a hub where diverse operators in transportation, retail, and facility operations are concentrated — as the starting point of its European expansion.

Asilla is already in discussions with multiple companies in the French market, including those in transportation, retail, facility management, and system integration. Through pitching opportunities offered by this program, the company will accelerate these business discussions and build local partnerships.

In parallel, by participating in the European startup ecosystem centered on Station F, Asilla will work to expand its local visibility and create collaboration opportunities, aiming to establish a mid- to long-term business foundation in the European market.

About the Entrepreneur Program "Europe Long-term Program (France)"

The "Europe Long-term Program (France)" is a long-term dispatch program to Paris, France, implemented as part of "J-StarX," JETRO's overseas entrepreneur program.

The program is tailor-made to each company's needs and aims at outcomes such as sales expansion in Europe and fundraising from investors and CVCs.

This year, 10 companies including Asilla have been selected. As a Japan-born AI startup, Asilla will accelerate its expansion into the European market.

Outlook

Through its activities in this program, Asilla will build its business foundation in the European market, while also looking ahead to expansion across various European countries with France as the starting point, and ultimately to broader global market expansion.
Asilla will apply the know-how in facility operations built up in Japan with behavior-recognition AI to the sites of transportation, retail, and public infrastructure in Europe, contributing to solving worldwide common challenges such as the shortage of security personnel and the need to advance operations.

About "AI Security asilla"

"AI Security asilla" is a system in which AI analyzes existing security camera footage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behavior such as violence, falls, and intrusions, as well as behaviors requiring attention such as wandering, crowding, and signs of poor health. As shortages of security personnel become increasingly severe, the system captures anomalies that are easy to miss through human monitoring alone and immediately notifies security staff and managers. Because existing cameras can be used as-is, no additional capital investment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that maintains a high level of safety even with limited personnel.
