Hello! My name is Wakasa from the Solutions Division, Asilla Inc. I have traveled to Vietnam this time to meet with members of Asilla Vietnam for the first time in over two years, and I would like to report a summary of my visit!
I joined Asilla Corporation in July 2020, exactly at the time when travel to other countries as well as domestic travel was restricted due to the effects of the new coronavirus. As a result, Asilla employees, who used to travel to Vietnam frequently, found it difficult to travel. Since the Solution Division develops AI jointly with engineers in Vietnam, we felt that the situation of not being able to meet and talk directly with them was a kind of hindrance both in business and psychological aspects.
Under such circumstances, we have been trying to get to know each other as One Asilla and to facilitate communication between Asilla Japan and Vietnam by holding events such as online exchange meetings.
In April 2022, the Japanese government's border control measures against the novel coronavirus were relaxed, and after careful preparations, including three vaccinations and PCR testing, we were finally able to travel to Vietnam and interact directly with Asilla Vietnam members for the first time.
For two years, we had fought, argued late into the night, and shared our joys with each other, but all of this was done online, and we had never been able to share our feelings face-to-face. Immediately before arriving at the office, I was slightly apprehensive about what kind of conversation we should have and what kind of atmosphere we should create, but there was no need to worry about any of that. The moment I entered the office, everyone welcomed me warmly and quite loudly. (Laughter) At that moment, I felt a variety of emotions as I realized that there was indeed proof of the exchanges we had accumulated over the past two years and the precious time we had shared together. After that, we began a furious two weeks of project promotion and other duties, countless drinking parties and overnight team-building trips. Everyone, please drink in moderation.
During my two-week stay in Vietnam, I made time for dialogue with members of the Vietnamese corporation whenever possible to deepen mutual understanding among members in terms of career and cultural differences. Through the dialogue, I once again felt the strong energy of the Azirame members. They are all very passionate about their goals, such as improving Vietnam's unequal education and healthcare systems through technology, achieving an IPO as a product company, contributing to Vietnam's future, getting a degree abroad, and becoming rich? I felt that this energy is the source of Asilla's strength (by the way, everyone at Asilla Japan also has terrific energy). (Incidentally, the energy of Asilla Japan is also terrifying.) I also felt once again the difficulty of aligning the vectors of such an elite group filled with energy into one vector. (Mr. Hai, CEO of Asilla Vietnam, you are the best)
This time, we were able to have a face-to-face exchange with Asilla Vietnam members over the past two years due to the new coronavirus. Through the exchange, we were able to learn many things such as the great energy of Asilla, the source of its high technological capabilities, cultural differences, and career sense. Asilla is running full steam ahead to achieve its IPO in 2024, and I strongly feel that we can achieve an IPO and "a world where incidents and accidents are prevented" if this team works as one. I invite you to become a member of the energetic Asilla and join us for an exciting challenge.
※By the way, the impression you get when you meet in person is quite different from the impression you get when you talk online only. Most of the people I talked to told me that I was taller than they thought I would be, or that they thought I would be older. My impression of each member has also changed a lot. I wonder if the influence of physical characteristics will decrease as the virtualization of the metaverse progresses in the future.
