最先端の行動認識AIを独自開発する株式会社アジラ（本社：東京都町田市、代表取締役：木村 大介 以下「アジラ」）は、2023年4月より学校法人立命館（理事長：森島朋三、以下「立命館」）の立命館大学・大阪いばらきキャンパスにて、AI警備システム『アジラ』が本格導入されたことをお知らせいたします。なお、国内大学における『アジラ』の本格導入は初めての事例となります。
立命館では、2022年12月より、同校の新たなキャンパス創造における取り組みとして、立命館大学大阪いばらきキャンパス（大阪府茨木市）にて、キャンパス内の防犯カメラにAI警備システム『アジラ』を設置し、試験導入・運用を行っておりました。4ヶ月の試用導入期間を経て、運用面の確認や課題の洗い出し、警備体制の見直しを進めた結果、2023年4月より同キャンパスでの本格導入が決定しました。
昨今、社会における安心・安全への関心が高まっています。不特定多数の人々が出入りする大学のキャンパスにも、多数の防犯カメラが設置されていますが、カメラ映像の活用は従来、録画に留まり、事件や事故が発生した後の確認などに利用されることがほとんどでした。
今回、国内初の大学キャンパスでの本格運用となる『アジラ』は、リアルタイムで転倒や立入禁止区域への侵入を検知できることから、防犯カメラの新たな可能性を切り開いています。キャンパスDXを推進する立命館と共に、新たな警備体制の構築を支援し、安心安全なキャンパスづくりに貢献します。
