(Headquarters: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO: Atsushi Nakajima; hereinafter "Mitsubishi Estate").
In line with the "Mitsubishi Estate Digital Vision" formulated in 2021, Mitsubishi Estate is working to solve social challenges through digital transformation (DX). In the area of facility operations in particular, the company has been advancing the development of a "next-generation facility-operation model" that incorporates robots and camera systems into work such as security, cleaning, and transport.
As one element of these efforts, since the AI security system "AI Security asilla" began operation at the Shin-Marunouchi Building in October 2022, its deployment has expanded to the Marunouchi Building and the Marunouchi Park Building, and it is now in operation at the major properties of the Marunouchi area.
At the Tokyo Building, a proof-of-concept was conducted over approximately three months from June 2026.
As a result, the initially anticipated effects were confirmed, leading to the full-scale deployment of "AI Security asilla" on this occasion.
Specifically, by using AI to analyze footage from existing security cameras, the safety of the facility is being enhanced in the following ways.
Drawing on the operational insights accumulated to date in the Marunouchi area, Asilla will continue to support Mitsubishi Estate in creating safe and secure facility spaces.
The Tokyo Building is a mixed-use office building with 33 floors above ground and 4 floors below, adjacent to the Marunouchi exit of Tokyo Station.
Its lower floors house the commercial zone "Tokyo Bldg. TOKIA," and it is one of the representative properties of the Marunouchi area, where a diverse range of users — from office workers to passersby — come and go.
