Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla") announces that its AI security system "AI Security asilla" has been officially deployed at Tenjin Business Center II, a property maintained and managed by Sun-Life Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Teppei Kawasaki; hereinafter "Sun-Life").

Background

Under Tenjin Big Bang, the large-scale redevelopment project led by Fukuoka City, next-generation office buildings continue to open across the Tenjin district, which is evolving into a business hub attracting companies and talent from Japan and abroad. When selecting office space, tenants increasingly weigh whether the environment is safe and comfortable, alongside location and facilities, and interest is growing in AI video analytics that can raise a building's safety standard while making use of existing security cameras.

Recognizing this industry need early on, Sun-Life, which manages and operates numerous commercial facilities and office buildings throughout Fukuoka and the wider Kyushu region, has already deployed "AI Security asilla" at six properties: Tenjin Business Center, Tenjin Sumitomo Life FJ Business Center, Konoha Mall Hashimoto, Park Place Oita, Canal City Hakata, and Riverwalk Kitakyushu, advancing security operations tailored to the characteristics of each facility.

Building on these results, Sun-Life has now decided to deploy "AI Security asilla" at Tenjin Business Center II as well. Drawing on the operational expertise accumulated to date, the aim is to secure a high standard of safety from the very start of the building's operation.

Overview of the deployment

"AI Security asilla" has been officially deployed at Tenjin Business Center II, which is managed by Sun-Life. With the aim of maintaining a comfortable environment for tenant companies and ensuring the safety and peace of mind of visitors, AI video analytics applied to footage from existing security cameras will elevate the security standard across the entire facility.

Details of the initiative

1. Early detection of suspicious behavior and intrusion

AI detects suspicious behavior and prolonged loitering in the entrance and common areas in real time, notifying security staff immediately. Intrusion after closing hours or into restricted areas is also captured automatically, allowing AI to cover areas that human observation alone cannot fully monitor and strengthening security across the facility.

2. Rapid response to falls and signs of poor health

AI automatically detects signs of poor physical condition such as falls and unsteadiness, alerting staff at an early stage. In a facility where many workers gather, a security system that does not overlook such incidents gives tenant companies added peace of mind.

3. Enhancing facility value and tenant satisfaction

Rather than depending on the individual skill and experience of security personnel, AI applies consistent criteria, maintaining a uniform and high standard of safety on an ongoing basis. Providing a safe and comfortable working environment for tenants also contributes to the value of the property itself.

Asilla and Sun-Life will continue working to create an environment at Tenjin Business Center II where tenant companies and visitors can feel more secure. The insights gained through this initiative will also be applied as a case study of AI video analytics in office buildings, and rolled out to other facilities facing similar challenges.

About "AI Security asilla"

"AI Security asilla" is a system in which AI analyzes footage from existing security cameras around the clock, instantly detecting abnormal behavior such as violence, falls, and intrusion, as well as behavior requiring attention such as wandering, crowding, and signs of poor health. As the shortage of security personnel becomes more severe, it captures incidents that are easily missed through human monitoring and notifies security staff and managers immediately. Because existing cameras can be used as they are, no capital investment in equipment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that maintains a high level of safety even with limited staffing.
