Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla"), whose vision is "Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology," is pleased to announce that its AI security system "AI Security asilla" has been officially adopted at Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba, operated by Tokyu Land Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tatsuaki Tanaka; hereinafter "Tokyu Land").

At large mixed-use complexes visited by many people, growing awareness of safety and security among users is driving demand for even higher security quality. At the same time, the security industry faces a worsening labor shortage and rising security costs, making it difficult to strengthen security simply by adding more personnel. Against this backdrop, expectations are rising for AI in the security field as a way to analyze footage from existing security cameras and detect incidents within a facility early, even with limited staff.
Quick to recognize these industry needs, Tokyu Land has actively embraced advanced technologies in its urban development. Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba in particular is one of the leading smart city initiatives promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and serves as the core facility of "Smart City Takeshiba," promoted by Tokyu Land and SoftBank Corp. It is a landmark large-scale mixed-use complex known as a leading example of a smart building that uses AI and IoT to collect and analyze people-flow and environmental data.
As part of these efforts, Tokyu Land and Asilla have been conducting a proof-of-concept trial of "AI Security asilla" at Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba since October 2025, with the aim of speeding up initial response and improving security quality. Based on the trial results and the system's effectiveness in on-site operations, it was determined that the system fully met its original objectives, leading to its continued operation.
With this adoption, "AI Security asilla" has been officially introduced at Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba, managed and operated by Tokyu Land. Following the proof-of-concept trial, the system will continue to detect abnormal behaviors and dangerous actions within the facility through AI video analytics using existing security cameras. Looking ahead to future integration with a building OS that manages the entire facility in an integrated manner, the companies will work to build a next-generation facility management platform powered by technology.
1. Preventing accidents through early detection of dangerous and abnormal behaviors
The AI detects behaviors that could lead to accidents among facility users, such as dangerous actions near escalators that could result in falls, and riding bicycles or skateboards in prohibited areas. Instant notifications to security staff enable them to promptly approach and respond, helping prevent accidents and ensure user safety.
2. Strengthening nighttime security
The system detects intrusions into restricted areas at night and supports a rapid initial response by security staff. Even with limited nighttime staffing, the AI continuously analyzes footage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, reducing the risk of missed incidents and maintaining a high level of safety.
These initiatives are expected to speed up initial response when incidents occur and improve security quality. Tokyu Land and Asilla will continue working together to achieve safe and secure facility operations powered by technology.

Opened in September 2020, Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba is a large mixed-use complex with a total floor area of approximately 200,000 m², consisting of a 40-story office tower and a residential tower. Featuring a wide range of functions including offices, retail, halls, studios, and residences, it serves as the core of the Takeshiba area as a new international business hub. It is also known as a smart building that uses AI and IoT.

AI Security asilla is a system that analyzes footage from existing security cameras 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behaviors such as violence, falls, and intrusions, as well as behaviors requiring attention such as loitering, crowding, and signs of physical distress. Amid a growing shortage of security personnel, it captures incidents that human monitoring can easily miss and immediately notifies security staff and facility managers. Because it works with existing cameras, no additional equipment investment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that maintains a high level of safety even with limited staff.
