Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter “Asilla”), which pursues the vision of “Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology,” has completed a fundraising round through a third-party allotment of shares, bringing its cumulative funding to approximately 3 billion yen. Its product business, led by “AI Security asilla” launched in 2022, has been deployed at approximately 250 sites across Japan, including commercial facilities, public transportation, and office buildings.
From the next fiscal year onward, Asilla expects to achieve sustained profitability for the first time since its founding, and is transitioning to a growth phase funded by its own resources rather than external capital.

1. New Capital and Business Alliance Partners

Through this round, Asilla has entered into capital and business alliances with the following two companies.

  • Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate”)
  • Charm Care Corporation (hereinafter “Charm Care”)

With Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate, Asilla concluded a capital and business alliance (announced in July 2026) aimed at co-creating next-generation facility operations that leverage AI and people-flow data. With Charm Care, Asilla concluded a capital and business alliance (announced in July 2026) aimed at co-creating AI-enabled resident monitoring support in care settings, and the two companies are jointly developing “asilla care,” a monitoring support system for nursing care and welfare facilities. Both are strategic alliances accompanied by business synergies.

To date, Asilla has received investment from operating companies and investors across a wide range of industries, including security, telecommunications, manufacturing, real estate, railways, and finance. Asilla views this as a reflection of expectations that its AI serves not as a tool for a single industry, but as infrastructure supporting safety in every kind of space.

2. Outlook for Profitability

In addition to expanding adoption in the security field, Asilla is extending into building management and property management, and has also entered the facility DX field through people-flow and attribute analysis using security camera footage, as well as the nursing care field. Recurring revenue (ARR) from its core products has grown approximately 1.9 times over the past year and approximately 4.5 times over the past two years. Building on this accumulating recurring revenue, Asilla expects to achieve sustained full-year profitability from the next fiscal year onward.

3. Areas of Future Growth

1) Development of a world-leading VLM through GENIAC

Selected for “GENIAC,” a program conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO, Asilla is advancing the development of a world-leading VLM (Vision Language Model) specialized for security cameras. The VLM has already been fully implemented in “AI Security asilla,” integrating real-time analysis of footage from large numbers of cameras with VLM-based situational understanding on a single platform, and delivering next-generation video analysis that covers everything from detection to interpretation of meaning.

2) Overseas expansion

In September 2025, Asilla won first place worldwide at the “Global Deep Tech Geeks Startups Competition” and exhibited at “GITEX GLOBAL” (Dubai, UAE), the largest startup exhibition in the Middle East and Africa. In 2026, Asilla was selected for the “J-StarX” long-term European dispatch program, advancing its European expansion from a base at “Station F” while also exhibiting at “VivaTechnology 2026.” Asilla further participated in the “Japan-France AI High-Level Dialogue,” a public-private policy dialogue held by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Through these activities, several deployments in overseas markets have already been realized, and with multiple exhibitions scheduled in Saudi Arabia later this year, global expansion centered on Europe, the Middle East, and ASEAN is now gathering momentum.

3) Anomalous sound detection AI (early detection of equipment failure)

In addition to its existing work combining video and AI, Asilla is conducting research and development on AI that detects anomalous sounds from machinery and equipment. By identifying early signs of equipment failure from changes in the sounds produced by pumps, fans, chillers, and similar equipment, this technology reduces the labor required for inspection work and enables predictive maintenance. Asilla is accelerating real-world implementation through collaboration with shareholders and partner companies that operate buildings, commercial facilities, and infrastructure.

4) Data-driven smart building solutions

Through “asilla BIZ,” Asilla is advancing next-generation facility operations that leverage AI and people-flow data. The service captures actual usage and congestion within facilities in real time and provides a range of data that helps improve operations and enhance the visitor experience. Beyond security, disaster prevention, and area management, Asilla will develop this into a smart building solution that optimizes facilities as a whole, including energy management through more efficient air conditioning.

5) Integration with robots

Asilla is advancing initiatives in which its AI analyzes footage from cameras mounted on security robots and quadruped robots to detect anomalies on site. In parallel, Asilla is working with multiple robot manufacturers to develop integrations in which a robot autonomously travels to a location to verify the situation when “AI Security asilla” detects an anomaly. This allows AI and robots to take on part of the patrol and on-site verification work that people have handled to date, maintaining the quality of response even with limited staff.
As securing personnel for security and facility operations becomes increasingly difficult, Asilla is building mechanisms in which AI and robots work together to support on-site response, within the field of physical AI that is drawing attention as a growth area both in Japan and abroad.

5. Comments from Management

Go Onoue, Representative Director and CEO, Asilla, Inc.

Our product business, which started from nothing four years ago, is now used at approximately 250 sites, and profitability has come into view. Asilla often receives attention for the technical capabilities we have refined since our founding, but we have come this far entirely because our customers and partners have nurtured our AI in the field. Visiting customer sites, listening to their voices, and improving the product: repeating that cycle strengthened our technology and showed us what to do next. Every one of the new initiatives announced today was conceived through conversations with our customers. Our journey with Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate and Charm Care, with whom we have concluded capital and business alliances, likewise began in the field. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to both companies for placing their trust in us.

Asilla will continue to value the field, working toward a society that can notice things before they happen rather than after. And we will continue to devote ourselves to making this technology, refined in the field in Japan, the global standard.

Aki Uchida, Executive Officer and CFO, Asilla, Inc.

We are able to move on to this next phase thanks to the support we have received from a wide range of companies and to everyone who has sustained our business day to day. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude.

In workplaces where labor shortages are becoming increasingly severe, I am confident that our AI technology can support the people working on site and contribute to realizing a society in which safe and comfortable spaces can be protected even with limited staff.

We will continue to strive to meet the expectations of all stakeholders around us and to remain a company that gives back to society.
Our vision is “Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology” — and I look forward, from the bottom of my heart, to sharing the landscape that lies beyond it with as many people as possible.
