Asilla Inc. (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter "Asilla"), whose vision is "Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology," is pleased to announce the release of new features for its AI security solution "AI Security asilla" (hereinafter "asilla"): "Vehicle Detection (intrusion / long-duration parking)" and "Bicycle Detection (parking / long-duration abandonment)."

Both features will be available as an open beta with the Ver4.4 update on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Background of Development

Asilla launched "asilla" in July 2022 and has since deployed it at approximately 200 facilities, primarily commercial complexes, mixed-use buildings, and office buildings. As deployment has expanded, in addition to the main use case of detecting abnormal behavior inside buildings, we have received many requests regarding safety management for perimeter areas such as property boundaries, parking lots, and bicycle parking areas.

Perimeter areas cover a wide surveillance range, and it is difficult to consistently cover events such as suspicious vehicle intrusions or abandoned bicycles in prohibited parking zones through guard patrols or manned monitoring alone. Missed events and delayed initial responses can lead to reduced facility safety, lower user satisfaction, and increased operational burden on security teams.

The "Vehicle Detection" and "Bicycle Detection" features released this time use AI with existing surveillance cameras to fill these gaps in perimeter monitoring. A key advantage is that no additional hardware investment is required, and the system can seamlessly cover perimeter areas on the same platform as in-building abnormal behavior detection.

AI continuously analyzes footage from existing surveillance cameras, and when events such as suspicious vehicle intrusions or abandoned bicycles in prohibited parking zones are detected, real-time notifications are sent to security personnel and managers. This enables early awareness of anomalies in perimeter areas without relying on manual patrols or visual inspections, supporting more efficient security operations and improved overall facility safety.

Feature Overview

In Ver4.4, the following two new detection features have been implemented to strengthen perimeter security. Both are now available as an open beta.

Vehicle Detection (Intrusion / Long-Duration Parking)

Detects vehicle intrusions and long-duration parking in parking lots, on-premises roads, and around property boundaries.

Key Use Cases

  • Early detection of vehicles entering the premises outside business hours
  • Detection of illegal parking or long-duration parking in prohibited zones
  • Identification of suspicious vehicles at loading docks and on-premises roads
  • Detection of suspicious vehicle loitering around property boundaries

Bicycle Detection (Parking / Long-Duration Abandonment)

Detects bicycle parking in prohibited areas and long-duration abandonment in bicycle parking areas, around entrances, and similar locations.

Key Use Cases

  • Immediate detection of bicycles parked in prohibited areas
  • Early detection of bicycles abandoned for long periods around entrances or on sidewalks
  • Identification of abandoned bicycles during unmanned hours such as nighttime or holidays
  • Verification of compliance with bicycle parking rules

Future Outlook

Through the open beta release of these features, Asilla will accumulate practical operational know-how for perimeter monitoring in commercial complexes, mixed-use buildings, and office buildings, and continue to improve detection accuracy and operability. Being able to handle in-building behavior recognition and perimeter event detection in an integrated way on the same platform is a core strength of asilla, and on this foundation, we will further expand detection targets and supported industry segments. Asilla will continue to strengthen partnerships with security companies, facility management companies, and camera manufacturers, working toward our vision of "Creating a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology.

About "AI Security asilla"

"AI Security asilla" is a system in which AI analyzes existing security camera footage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behaviors such as violence, falls, and intrusions, as well as cautionary behaviors such as loitering, congestion, and sudden illness. Against the backdrop of a worsening shortage of security personnel, the system captures anomalies that are easy to miss with human monitoring and immediately notifies security staff and managers. Because existing cameras can be used as is, no equipment investment is required, making it a next-generation security solution that enables high safety levels even with a limited workforce.
