Asilla, Inc. (Headquarters: Machida-shi, Tokyo; CEO: Go Onoue; hereinafter “Asilla”), guided by its vision “Toward a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology,” announces that its AI monitoring system “asilla care” for nursing care and welfare facilities has been designated as a Nursing Care Technology product (Monitoring & Communication – Facility category) under the Technical Aids Information System (TAIS), operated by the Association for Technical Aids (ATA).
With this designation, asilla care becomes eligible equipment for nursing care technology adoption subsidies offered by each prefecture across Japan, enabling care facilities to introduce the system through these subsidy programs.
*Subsidy eligibility, subsidy rates, maximum amounts, and application requirements vary by local government. Please confirm details with each respective municipality.

Against a backdrop of expanding nursing care demand due to an aging population and chronic caregiver shortages, the national and local governments are expanding their support measures for adopting nursing care technology. The Association for Technical Aids publishes designated “Nursing Care Technology” products on TAIS, and these designated products serve as the principal eligibility basis for nursing care technology adoption subsidies offered by prefectures throughout Japan.
Asilla has expanded the behavior recognition AI technology and safety management expertise cultivated through its AI security system “AI Security asilla” into the nursing care and welfare sectors, launching “asilla care” in April 2026. Since launch, the system has been deployed at multiple nursing care facilities and disability support facilities, and this designation further establishes a more accessible adoption environment for care facilities.

“asilla care” is a system that uses AI to analyze existing security camera footage within nursing care facilities in real time, quickly detecting anomalies such as falls, wandering, and unsteady movement among residents. From incident occurrence to detection takes approximately one second, and detected information is instantly delivered to staff smartphones and the app-based intercom (Buddycom). This enables both distant staff and those engaged in other tasks to respond rapidly. No new sensors or large-scale construction is required — the system can be added to existing facility equipment.
*Subsidy types and eligibility conditions vary by local government. Please confirm in advance with each respective municipality.
Asilla will continue expanding the use of video analytics beyond anomaly detection in “asilla care.” By analyzing resident behavior patterns and movement flows within facilities, Asilla aims to contribute to broader challenges in nursing care, including early detection of accident precursors, streamlining care record-keeping, and improving night-shift efficiency.
By having video-analytics AI take on the roles of “seeing,” “recording,” and “noticing” on-site situations, Asilla aims to create an environment where caregivers can devote more time to the personal care each resident truly needs.
